Lord Howe Island

Towards the end of last year a group of twelve of us spent a wonderful relaxing week on Lord Howe Island. What a great place. No hurry, no worries

We stayed at the wonderful guest-house on the island, Pine Trees. A fantastic place to stay. All meals provided, and five star dining it was. On day trips away, packed lunches were provided and if a bar-b-que was your choice your basket was delivered to any spot you wish. The island really knows how to look after their tourists with bar-b-ques scattered all over the island and all wood provided. Delightful. Bicycles are the preferred mode of transport for guests and it was a great way to get around.

The view from the boat-house (the bar) of the Pine Trees Hotel late afternoon at happy hour

And in the morning

As you walk round the island, every outlook was just delightful

We went on a snorkelling trip

The weather man lets off the balloon every afternoon

One of my favourite views from one of the walks we did. Looking toward Mt.Gower.

On my to-do list has always been Balls Pryamid. A couple of us took a boat trip out to have a look. So pleased we did. Great day

Beautiful sunsets from the Boat Shed Bar while having pre-dinner drinks each evening

An absolutely wonderful way to spend a week.
